The most important elements of performance and exercise is rest, and it’s also one of the hardest things to do! We recognize that taking time to rest your body can be easier said than done, but having a recovery routine provides you significant physical benefits.
One huge benefit is muscle relaxation. By allowing the muscles to rest after physical exercise, the lactic build up is able to build then strengthen the muscle. For ELITE athletes, incorporating in rest days is imperative in establishing the discipline it requires to be the best at whatever it is that you do physically.
